The 2019 NTT IndyCar Series season kicks off this weekend with the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg in Florida.
Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports head into the new season with a new driver as former Formula On driver Marcus Ericsson joins James Hinchcliffe for 2019 with the Swede driving the No.7 Arrow Electronics Honda.
The Mayor of HinchTown has fond memories here having taken his maiden NTT IndyCar Series victory here in 2013 in his first race for Andretti Autosport having taken over the GoDaddy.com Honda vacated by Danica Patrick at the end of 2012 following her move to NASCAR.
Dan Wheldon had signed to return to Andretti Autosport but the Mayor of HinchTown joined the team following Wheldon’s death at the 2012 season ending Las Vegas race.
Fast forward to 2019 and on the eve of the new season ride on board with the Mayor of HinchTown in his No.5 Arrow Electronics Honda for Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports from practice in 2018.
