The Indianapolis 500 Is More Than Just A Race For Mann In 2019
The 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge which takes place on May 26 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is more than just a race for England’s Pippa Mann.
The Ipswich native who failed to qualify for the race last year will compete in the No.39 Driven2SaveLives Chevrolet for Clauson Marshall Racing.
This year it is about honouring the memory of her former team mate Bryan Clauson and helping his dad Tim who is running the team to achieve their goal of racing at the most famous motorsport event in the world and raising awareness of the work Driven2SaveLives do.
Speaking to IMS.com Mann said:
“I am out for redemption. “I want not only to be in the field, but I also want it to be my best run ever. The cause, the car and the team I’m driving for are so incredibly important, but I’m a racing driver, too. I really want to make Tim (Clauson), (co-owner) Richard (Marshall) and Stanley Ross proud of me as a racer and a representative of their cause.
Practice for the Indianapolis 500 gets underway on May 14 with qualifying taking place over the weekend of May 18-19 with the main event, the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge takes place on May 26.
