Being On The Timing Stand Is A Great Education
NTT IndyCar Series driver Charlie Kimball says that it has been a real education for him as he has spent the weekend on the timing stand for Carlin Racing helping Patricio O’Ward on track and giving him tips.
Speaking to the IndyCar Radio Network during final warm up for the IndyCar Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park, Kimball said it is a different experience for him and it gives him a new prospective of what goes on behind the wall with the team.
When it comes to the Month of May, Kimball said he will be back on track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on April 24 for the open test ahead of the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge while said that he will help Patricio O’Ward get through Rookie Orientation.
Kimball also said that he has been giving his input with McLaren and Fernando Alonso who have a technical partnership with Carlin Racing for 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge which takes place on May 26.
