Three Podiums In Four Races For Dixon Shows How Consistent He Is

Defending NTT IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon who drives the No.9 PNC Bank Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing has shown in the first four races of the 2019 season why he is a five time series champion.

In the season opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg, the Iceman finished the race in second place behind race winner Josef Newgarden.

Dixon struggled in the IndyCar Classic at the Circuit Of The Americas in Austin Texas last month coming home in 13th place having started the race from sixth place.

At the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park, Dixon finished the race in third place.

At the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach last weekend, Dixon started the race from second place on the grid and came through the field following an 18s second pit stop to finish the race in third place behind race winner Alexander Rossi and second placed Josef Newgarden.

Dixon heads into the month of May in third place in the NTT IndyCar Series championship on 133 points.

The Iceman will be hoping for a strongĀ month of May starting with next week’s open Indianapolis 500 test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Wednesday 24th April.
