Andretti Rules Out Indy 500 Race Return

Andretti Autosport team owner Michael Andretti has ruled out making a racing return to the Indianapolis 500.

Speaking to Paddock Eye in a Twitter Q&A with IndyCar when asked if he would return to compete in the Indianapolis 500, Andretti said:

Well, I already did that twice. I think the ship has sailed. – Michael https://t.co/a1v9MKgjqp

Andretti Autosport have been extremely successful at the Indianapolis 500 in recent years winning the Greatest Spectacle In Racing five times and twice in the last three years.

This season Andretti Autosport will enter Conor Daly in the race with sponsorship from the US Air Force while Marco Andretri has stepped into ownership as he co owns his No.98 US Concrete Honda entry alongside Michael and former Andretti Autosport driver Bryan Herta.
