Ferrari Need To Back Their New Driver
Channel 4 F1 pundit and former team owner Eddie Jordan says Ferrari Need To decide to back Charles Leclerc for the 2019 Formula One championship.
It was another disappointing race for the Prancing Horse as Sebastien Vettel finished the race in third place while Charles Leclerc came home in fifth place.
Leclerc has been on the receiving end of Ferrari team orders this season and despite this Sebastien Vettel is in third place in the championship.
Eddie Jordan believes that Ferrari really need to look seriously at putting Leclerc forward for the championship.
Ferrari chairman John Elkann was at the race this weekend to oversee the event but the Italian team will be disappointed to leave Baku with a third and fifth place finish.
As for Vettel, he has been with Scuderia Ferrari since 2015 and has yet to win the championship and in fact Ferrari’s last world champion was Kimi Raikkonen who won the championship back in 2007.
Vettel heads to the next race in Spain 35 points behind leader Valtteri Bottas.
