Fuel The Female announced on Wednesday that they have teamed up with Honda Performance Development (HPD) for their upcoming STEM event which takes place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 14.

T.E McHale from Honda Performance Development said:

“Honda Racing/HPD is gratified to support the second annual ‘Fuel the Female’ event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. “It is important that we play a role in introducing girls and young women to motorsports, and especially to STEM-related opportunities in motorsports. Honda Performance Development will have two female engineers supporting its Honda-powered teams during the 103rdrunning of the Indianapolis 500. We look forward to welcoming many more in future years; perhaps even some who have attended ‘Fuel the Female’ events

Fuel The Female Executive Director Katie Hargitt commented saying:

This event wouldn’t be possible without the support of HPD. “Because of their support we are able to provide hands-on activities for the students this year, and provide them a peek inside a career in STEM through motorsports.”
