Harding Delighted With Herta’s Progress

Harding Steinbrenner Racing team co-owner Mike Harding says he has been delighted with the progress made by his Honda powered team and Colton Herta.

In only his second race with the team, Colton Herta took victory in the IndyCar Classic at the Circuit Of The Americas in Austin Texas.

The teenager has been extremely quick each weekend and has shown maturity behind the wheel beyond his years and Mike Harding is impressed.

Speaking to IndyCar.com he said:

Look at how the kid practices. We’re practically top five every weekend. “I knew last year we had an all-star team and sooner or later this would come together. Colton made all the pieces come together.”

It is no surprise that the team have hit the ground running with the experience of team president Brian Barnhart and Al Unser Jr on the timing stand George Michael Steinbrenner  IV and Mike Harding have built a strong team around them.

Harding went on to say:

Life is better. “We’re very hungry. We’re starving.”

The team will field just one car in this year’s 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 26 and  the team will be hoping to continue there strong start to the season during the month of May starting with this weekend’s Grand Prix of Indianapolis.
