Herta Fastest In Race Day Warm Up At IMS


Harding Steinbrenner Racing’s Colton Herta in the No.88 GESS International Honda led the way in race day warm at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday.

The 19 year old set a fastest time of 01:09.2003s.

Defending series champion Scott Dixon driving the No.9 PNC Bank Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing was second fastest with a time of 01:09.5805s.

Takuma Sato in the No.30 MiJack Honda for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing was third fastest just ahead of his team mate Graham Rahal and Sebastien Bourdais in the No.18 Geico Honda.

Marco Andretti in the No.98 US Concrete Honda was 6th fastest just ahead of Max Chilton.

Josef Newgarden was eighth fastest just ahead of pole sitter Felix Rosenqvist in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing.

Zach Veach in the No.26 Gainbridge Honda rounded out the top ten.

Alexander Rossi in the No.27 NAPA Auto Parts Honda ended the session in 11th place just ahead of Ryan Hunter Reay in the No.28 DHL Honda and Team Penske’s Will Power in the No.12 Verizon 5G Chevrolet.

Santino Ferrucci was 14th just ahead of Meyer Shank Racing’s Jack Harvey in the No.60 AutoNation Sirius XM Honda.

Team Penske’s Simon Pagenaud in the No.22 Menards Chevrolet was 16th just ahead of Ed Carpenter Racing’s Spencer Pigot and Ed Jones.

Helio Castroneves in the No.3 Pennzoil Chevrolet was 19th just ahead of Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports James Hinchcliffe in the No.5 Arrow Electronics Honda.

Mathues Matt Leist in the No.4 ABC Supply Chevrolet was 21st just ahead of Marcus Ericsson.

Tony Kanaan in the No.14 ABC Supply Chevrolet and Patricio O’Ward rounded out the order.
