Race Day At The Speedway, Expect Six Stops

The 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge takes place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway today and Chip Ganassi Racing’s managing director Mike Hull says that over the course of the 200 laps we can expect a six stop strategy every 30 laps or so.

When it comes to the changes of cautions during the race, Hull says that is a 24% chance and that 30 seconds will be lost in the pit-lane following a green flag stop/

Chip Ganassi Racing’s defending NTT IndyCar Series champion and 2008 Indianapolis 500 winner Scott Dixon starts the race from 18th while Felix Rosenqvist in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda starts from 29th place.
