The 2021 NTT IndyCar Series season saw many firsts with a first-time champion in Alex Palou of Chip Ganassi Racing.
Seven team were on the podium and four first time race winners.
We had two part-time drivers in seven-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson having joined Chip Ganassi Racing for road and street course races while he is now considering transitioning to a full-time drive in 2022 following a successful ROP test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Romain Grosjean who was competing in a partial schedule has joined Andretti Autosport on a full-time programme from 2022.
The NTT IndyCar Series tweeted on Sunday:
