The Verizon IndyCar Series is enjoying fantastic time so far in 2018, as we gear up for the month of May and 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil, in the first four races of the 2018 season, we have seen a sensational 999 overtaking moves, an increase of 110% on the same period in 2017.
In the opening race alone, the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg which was won by Dale Coyne Racing with Vasser Sullivan Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais in the No.18 SealMaster Honda there were a sensational 366 overtaking moves.

Team’s Penske’s defending series champion Josef Newgarden in the No.1 Chevrolet heads into the month of May leading the points standings by 13 points after victories at the Desert Diamond West Valley Casino Phoenix Grand Prix at ISM Raceway as well as a win last time out at the rain delayed Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park.
