Harding Racing’s Gabby Chaves in the No.88 Chevrolet felt that the team made big improvements to the car between practice and qualifying for tonight’s Desert Diamond West Valley Casino Phoenix Grand Prix at ISM Raceway.
The Colombian who starts the race just behind Ed Carpenter in 19th place set a two lap average of 180.932MPH.
Speaking following the session, Chaves commented by saying:
This qualifying was a big improvement in terms of how the car feels from Practice 1, so that is a major positive. We won’t be starting near the front, but at least we get to take away that we improved the car, and hopefully, we can work on it some more during practice and make even more improvements for the race tomorrow.
