AJ Foyt Racing’s David Malukas had a fantastic month of May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Chicago native qualified for the Greatest Spectacle In Racing from seventh place and found himself leading the race. Malukas and teammate Santino Ferrucci showed great pace, with Malukas leading laps in the race and finishing second to secure his career-best finish, a result that has moved him into tenth place in the championship.

Rewind the clock twelve months, and David had been released by Arrow McLaren ahead of May and was working with INDYCAR on various projects during May.

Malukas showed tremendous resilience and determination to come back from the injury, and in August 2024 was announced as Santino Ferrucci’s teammate for the 2025 season.

It could be said that AJ Foyt and Larry Foyt took a risk in signing Malukas however, that risk has paid off for the Speedway-based outfit as they are now reaping the rewards as David Malukas is living up to his reputation of being a fast driver following his phenomenal drive to second place in The Greatest Spectacle In Racing and gives the team some serious momentum going into the Detroit Grand Prix this weekend.
