AJ Foyt Racing’s Santino Ferrucci in the No.14 Sexton Properties Chevrolet and his teammate Benjamin Pedersen endured a tough qualifying for Sunday’s Big Machine Music City Grand Prix on the streets of Nashville.
Santino Ferrucci starts the race from 21st place with a time of 01:16.6416s while Benjamin Pedersen in the No.55 Sexton Properties Chevrolet starts the race from 25th place having not set a time in qualifying after stopping on track.
Pedersen had some brake issues on his out lap and he had to use the runoff in Turn 11. Unfortunately, the car stalled which brought out the red flag. The AMR INDYCAR Safety Team restarted the car but under INDYCAR rules, Pedersen could not rejoin the group because he brought out a red flag. He will start 25th today.
