Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Graham Rahal in the No.15 Steak N’Shake Honda will roll off for his home race later today from fourth place.
The Ohio native goes into today’s race just 64 points behind series leader Scott Dixon and is a winner at the track having taken to victory lane in 2015. Rahal was happy with his performance on Saturday, getting into the Firestone Fast 6, however he felt that he messed up during the final part of qualifying.
Speaking following the session, Rahal commented by saying:
A good qualifying session for us. “It was a shame that in (the Firestone Fast Six), I frankly just messed up. I didn’t have Power’s speed, but I kind of threw it away early in the lap and that was that. Disappointed, at the same time we showed we’ve got the pace. Hopefully tomorrow we can work from fourth.
Rahal will get a final opportunity to dial in the No.15 Steak N’Shake Honda this morning with the final 30 minute warm-up session which is live via http://racecontrol.indycar.com
