A fourth place in Nashvilleon Sunday ensured that Ireland’s James Roe capped off a breakthrough INDY NXT season in style for the No.29 Topcon Dallara Andretti Global team.
Qualifying for the race was rained out so the field was set by entrant points meaning Roe started from the fifth row of the grid and carved his way through the field coming home in fourth place.
Roe finished the season with five top five finishes including podiums at Barber Motorsports Park and Iowa helped Roe to sixth place in the championship.
Speaking about his race in Nashville, Roe said:
It was a great race for us. “Obviously, we were a little bummed about qualifying being canceled because we knew we had lots of pace. I think we needed a few more laps to get on the podium, but the No. 29 Topcon Dallara was fast, and that definitely showed as we went from P9 to P4. Once again, Andretti INDY NXT dominated. I’m excited to see what’s to come.”
Roe will announce his future plans in coming months.
