Defending NTT IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing said that the season-opening Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park was a great point’s day for the entire Chip Ganassi Racing team with his teammate Alex Palou in the No.10 Segi.TV Honda took the victory.

Speaking to NBC following the action, the Iceman said that it was really a track position race and that the No.9 PNC BankHonda felt great but was just unable to get the opportunity to overtake Will Power in the No.12 Verizon 5G Chevrolet.

The third-place finish was Dixon’s ninth career podium while Palou’s win was the first for Chip Ganassi Racing at Barber Motorsports Park.
