Chip Ganassi Racing had a great qualifying session for today’s Sonsio Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. Defending NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion Alex Palou in the No.10 DHL Honda took his first NTT P1 Award of the season with a time of 01:09.0004s. Six-time series champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda scored his best qualifying result of the season, starting the race from sixth place with a time of 01:09.5270s.
It was a great session for Marcus Armstrong in the IU Cancer Center’s Honda. He starts the race from eighth place with a time of 01:09.1175s. Linus Lundqvist in the No.8 Be The One American Legion Honda starts the race from 19th place just behind Arrow McLaren’s Theo Pourchaire while Kyffin Simpson starts the race from 25th place.
Dixon and Palou head into today’s Sonsio Grand Prix in third and fourth in the championship.
