Andretti Autosport’s Colton Herta in the No.26 Gainbridge Honda believes the team has what it takes to win Sunday’s REV Group Grand Prix of Road America as he starts the race from second place alongside Josef Newgarden. Herta who was fastest in the final warm-up ahead of the race commented on the qualifying saying:

“I think there’s a really good chance we could win tomorrow. We seem to have a really good car and confidence is high. We’ve had really good pace the last few weekends in the Gainbridge Honda, so I’m excited for tomorrow.”

Ryan Hunter Reay starts the race from eighth place and speaking following the action he commented saying:

“Today we had really good pace on the primary Firestone tires. We were up front this morning on the primaries and same in qualifying, but when it came time to use the (Firestone) Alternate red tires we just couldn’t find the balance. We had too much understeer and unfortunately just missed the mark advancing into the (Firestone) Fast Six by nine hundredths of a second. We’ll have to look at that for the race, but we’re in the hunt which is a good thing. We’re looking forward to a good race tomorrow.”

Alexander Rossi in the No.27 AutoNation Honda starts the race from ninth place and speaking following the action he commented saying:

“The team did a good job of getting the AutoNation Honda in a pretty good window for qualifying, unfortunately I made a mistake in round two. I locked up the tire, which didn’t allow us to transfer. I don’t know if we had a car for pole, but I cost us a top-five spot. We’ll just try and focus on the race car.”

While his teammates are all inside the top ten, the mayor of HinchTown endured another disappointing session as he will start the race from 19th place, and speaking following the action he said:

“A bit of a shame today. I think the Genesys car had top-10 pace for qualifying. Unfortunately on the (Firestone Alternate) red tires we were held up by another car and with the length of the lap and how short these sessions are, we just didn’t get another crack at it. Pretty disappointed to be starting where we are, but we know the pace is better. This race can unfold a lot of different ways. We are excited for tomorrow and think we can move forward with clean pit stops, good decisions and great tire strategy.”
