Arrow McLaren SP had a fantastic first season with Chevrolet power for the 2020 NTT IndyCar Series season.
The team announced a partnership with McLaren Racing over the 2019 off season and brought in two new drivers with Patricio O’Ward and Oliver Askew joining the team.
Former Indianapolis 500 winner, Gil De Ferran came in to oversee the IndyCar programme.
Pato O’Ward was the star of the season picking up six top five finishes completing ever race and finishing the season in fourth place in the championship on 416 points.
Oliver Askew ended the season in 19th place on 195 points and missed the Harvest GP double-header due to concussion like symptoms.
NTT IndyCar Series veteran Helio Castroneves subbed for Askew at Indy and as a result has landed a partial IndyCar programme for 2021 with Meyer Shank Racing.
For 2021, Arrow McLaren SP have brought in Felix Rosenqvist from Chip Ganassi Racing to partner Pato O’Ward.
Fernando Alonso made his NTT IndyCar Series return for the 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge which is likely to be his last 500 for a while as he is returning to Formula One in 2021 with Renault.
Arrow McLaren SP head into the off season with momentum on their side and plenty to build on for the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series season which gets underway on March 7 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg.
