AJ Foyt Racing’s new technical alliance with Team Penske appears to be bearing fruit already as Santino Ferrucci in the No.14 Sexton Properties Chevrolet started today’s season-opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg presented by RP Funding from 14th place and came home just outside the top ten in 11th place which was an absolutely fantastic result as he came home ahead of all of the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing cars as well as the Arrow McLaren of Callum Ilott.
The result was even better given the fact that the No.14 Sexton Properties Chevrolet was not on track during the second practice session of the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg presented by RP Funding on Saturday ahead of qualifying due to a technical issue with the car.
