Carlin Racing’s Charlie Kimball returns to the cockpit of his No.23 Tresiba Chevrolet for the first time since the season opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway open test today.

Kimball who is doing a part time schedule of 5 races for the 2019 NTT IndyCar Series season says that working on the timing stand with Carlin has given him a new prospective and better understanding of what goes on behind the scenes.

Kimball also said that he hopes it help him be a better driver as he now knows how things run both in the car and outside of the car when it comes to the team.

Carlin will have a big pool of data to draw from over the course of the month of May as they are running three cars in the 500 with Kimball, Max Chilton and Patricio O’Ward all entering the race.
