Indianapolis 500 winner Simon Pagenaud has been in France this week to celebrate his Indianapolis 500 win and on Monday there was a very special occasion for the Team Penske driver. The 2017 NTT IndyCar Series champion revealed his likeness on the famous Borg Warner Indy 500 winners trophy with the Eiffel Tower in Paris as the backdrop.

Prior to leaving France, Pagenaud returned to his hometown of Montmorillon where they hosted a public party for him. Speaking about his trip home, the Frenchman said:

“Getting the recognition in France is phenomenal for me. “It allows (me) to reflect on what I have accomplished by traveling the world with this win.”
