Schmidt Peterson Motorsports James Hinchcliffe summed up his day in a few words. The No.5 Arrow Honda ended the day in 21st of 22nd drivers.
Speaking following the session, the Mayor of HinchTown commented after the sessions by saying:
It was a pretty horrific day, to be honest. The worst part is we’re not entirely sure why. Luckily we have another practice in the morning to try and get the No. 5 Arrow Electronics car sorted for qualifying and hopefully we can look at Mikhail’s data. He ran pretty strong relative to other guys in our class, so hopefully we can be on pace with him tomorrow.
Mikhail Aleshin ended the day in 14th place and speaking following the on track action he commented by saying:
I think the No. 7 SMP Racing car had good progress from the first session. As always, I hope we’re going to continue to make progress through the weekend and the next session will be better, and then for qualifying, we have to be at the top. This team is looking good and we know what we need to do so it’s all in our hands.
