The opening day of testing at the Almeria circuit in Spain for the driver selection for season 2 of the W Series championship got underway on Monday and went pretty smoothly according to Race Director Dave Ryan.
The 13 hopefuls, Abbie Eaton, Abbie Munro, Anna Inotsome, Ayla Argen, Belen Garcia, Bruna Tomaselli, Chelsea Herbert, Courtney Crone, Gabriella Jilkova, Hannah Grisham, Irina Sidorkova, Michelle Gatting and Nerea Marti all completed laps in the Taatus T-318 Formula 3 car.
Formula 3 and Alfa Romeo Racing reserve driver Tatiana Calderon and last year’s W Series championship runner up Beitske Visser were also on track.
Katherine Legge was due to take part in the opening day of testing but was unavailable due to personal commitments but will be on track on Tuesday and Wednesday.
