The ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway on Sunday was a record breaker for the circuit. Over the course of the 500 mile race there were 42 lead changes among ten drivers.
The Tricky Triangle served up an absolute spectacle for the Verizon IndyCar Series fans. The race was won by Team Penske’s Will Power in the No.12 Verizon Chevrolet, the Australian secured his 32nd series win and second ABC Supply 500 win in a row moving him up to ninth place in the overall victory list.
The action packed race was full of drama with Will Power coming from one lap down and the back of the field to claim his third race win of the season, moving him to within 42 points of series leader Josef Newgarden.
The most sensational moment of the race was James Hinchcliffe’s fantastic save after hitting the marbles and avoiding the wall.
The next stop for the Verizon IndyCar Series is the return of Gateway Motorsports Park for the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 which takes place this weekend.
