Juncos Hollinger Racing’s Callum Ilott in the No.77 Chevrolet had a really solid Honda Indy Toronto on Sunday.

Making his first race performance in Toronto on Sunday, Ilott started the race from P7 and finished the event in P14.

Speaking following the action he said:

Not a bad end. Unfortunately, we had a bit of damage overtaking another car on the straight and I caught the front end on the rear tire. We were a lap down, managed to come back with some good moves to get back to P14. We had a good car, great speed. Good result. Thanks to the team and thanks to Team Chevy.

JHR co-owner and Team Principal Ricardo Juncos commented saying:

Even though we didn’t get the finish we wanted, Callum drove a great race and the team gave him an incredible car. “We started off the weekend in the back but were able to move forward and have another amazing qualifying run. We are so close to making it to the fast six, and I am confident we can do it before the season wraps up. Today’s race was pretty eventful, so for the No. 77 JHR Chevrolet to come home 14th, even after suffering damage, isn’t a bad way to end the weekend. I want to thank all of the JHR crew for their hard work, our amazing sponsors, and incredible fans.”
