Dale Coyne Racing’s Santino Ferrucci had a great debut at the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midgets National in Tulsa Oklahoma on Wednesday.

Ferrucci came from eleventh to finish the race in fifth place and speaking following the race he said:

I thought I did really well. “Before my heat I only had 10 (practice) laps, so obviously I knew I was going to struggle at times. But my heat was pretty stacked, so I don’t feel so bad.

Ferrucci was joined by fellow IndyCar drivers Conor Daly of Ed Carpenter Racing and James Davison.

Conor Daly commented saying:

I just started to get the hang of it by the end of the main event that I was in,”
