Today was good and we rolled off with a lot of speed. This is a great track and we’ve had a lot of success here the last two years. Turn 1 has been repaved and it’s a ton faster and we’ve already had fast times. I’m looking forward to tomorrow. We don’t know what the weather is going to do but the American Legion car is looking good.”

“I think it was a good session for us, we rolled off with good cars like we usually do. The No. 8 Huski Ice Spritz Honda felt good out there. We did some things we wanted to try on the setup and got good results there. We also got to the try the alternates in the end, which felt pretty good. Promising start to the weekend, looking forward to qualifying and the race on Sunday.”

Marcus Armstrong in the No.11 Ridgeline Lubricants Chip Ganassi Racing Honda ended the day in 18th place and speaking following the action he said:
We improved a lot throughout the run. I was learning the track as it was my first time seeing this place. It took a few laps to understand it. I think I need to improve tomorrow and better understand how to maximize the track overnight.”
