Arrow McLaren SP’s Robert Wickens in the No.6 Lucas Oil Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet started Saturday’s NTT IndyCar Series iRacing Challenge Firestone 175 at Twin Ring Motegi for pole position and came home in fifth.
Speaking following the race:
“One thing I’ve learned in reality, if you’re constantly putting yourself in a position to win, they’ll come.”
Oliver Askew in the No.7 Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet started the race from fourth but after contact with Team Penske’s Will Power and Scott McLaughlin he finished the race in 21st place and speaking following the race he said:
I feel terrible for @12WillPower & @smclaughlin93 after making contact with them while they were battling for the lead. Was trying to un lap myself in hope of a yellow, just wish I could have handled the situation differently, but I am thankful I am able to learn from this in sim. rather than real life. I hope everyone is enjoying the show that @IndyCaronNBC @IndyCar and @iRacing have been putting on as much as we do. Looking forward to what next week has in store. Sorry guys.
Patricio O’Ward in the No.5 Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet started the race from 30th and finished the event in 26th place.
