Dale Coyne Racing with HMD Motorsports Honda’s David Malukas, driver of the No.18 HMD Honda, endured a tricky qualifying as he starts the race from 24th place, speaking following the action he commented:
“We were expecting the alternate Firestone tire to react differently when we went out on them in qualifying. We were expecting understeer, but it went the opposite direction, so we weren’t ready for that, and we weren’t able to get the most of the red tires and improve our time. We’re starting from the back, but a lot can happen. We know we have a good car and I look forward to moving up in the race.”
Sting Ray Robb in the No.51 Goodheart / Biohaven Dale Coyne Racing with RWR Honda will start the race from 25th place and speaking following the action he commented saying:
“Qualifying didn’t go as planned today. We were decent on the primary tire but went slow on the reds for some reason. We need to look into that and sort it out before final practice later today. Hopefully we can put our heads together and go faster tomorrow.”
