Gabby Chaves in the No.88 Chevrolet for Harding Racing said that he had a trying opening day at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. The Colombian who finished the opening session on Friday in 21st place with a time of 01:09.8182s.
In the afternoon session Chaves ended up in 24th place with a time of 01:10.8269s and speaking following his day in the car he commented by saying:
“It has been a trying day so far. We have had to deal with some issues that were kind of like a curve ball being thrown at us and put us behind where we wanted to be. It has been frustrating, but I think we can utilize this afternoon to analyze what we need to do to improve and be where we should be from where we left off at St. Pete and take it from there. I’m looking forward to getting back on track tomorrow.”
