Andretti Autosport announced recently that they have formed a new team in the NTT IndyCar Series joining forces with Harding Steinbrenner Racing for Harding Steinbrenner Andretti Autosport with Colton Herta driving the No.88 Honda.
Herta was extremely impressive during his rookie season in the NTT IndyCar Series having taken victory at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin Texas.
Andretti had an existing relationship with the Harding Steinbrenner Racing team as they had input from Andretti Technologies and the addition of Colton Herta to their driver stable will help Andretti Autosport to challenge once again for the drivers championship in 2020.
Herta will be able to use what he learnt during his first season in the NTT IndyCar Series to help push him forward for year two. The Valencia native has signed a long term contract with Andretti Autosport and having his dad Bryan in the team will also assist him within the set up of the team as Bryan runs the No.98 US Concrete Honda car that Marco Andretti drives.
