Fernando Alonso continued his preparation for the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil on Tuesday as the double Formula One driver who is competing in the No.29 McLaren Honda Andretti Dallara carried out a test with his Andretti Autosport team mates during the session on Tuesday.

Alonso practiced running in traffic with Ryan Hunter Reay, Takuma Sato, Alexander Rossi and Marco Andretti with Team Penske’s Will Power joining the party but getting on with his programme.

Alonso stayed behind his team mates drafting with them and getting a tow before overtaking them and allowing them to get back in front of him.

It looked extremely impressive and it was another box for the Spaniard to tick off his Indianapolis 500 check list as he prepares to make his debut in the Verizon IndyCar Series in just under two weeks time.
