McLaren Honda’s Fernando Alonso has revealed details about his participation in the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil next month.

Starting with a trip to the next Verizon IndyCar Series race, the Honda Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park next weekend.

Alonso is expected to stay in the US the following Monday to visit the Andretti Autosport race shop for a sit fitting.

Alonso will compete in the Russian Grand Prix before carrying out work in the simulator to familiarize himself with the Dallara chassis.

Alonso will than head to Barcelona for his home race before travelling to Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday night to start teating at noon on Monday.
