Fernando Alonso will make his Verizon IndyCar Series debut st Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Wednesday May 3 ahead of his Indianapolis 500 debut at the end of next month.
The test will take place in between the Russian and Spanish Grand Prix.
Alonso is attending the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama with McLaren Executive Director Zak Brown this weekend with his new team Andretti Autosport.
The double Formula One champion will then head back to Indianapolis on Sundau night following the Spanish Grand to start testing for the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.
The test will be open to the public at Turn 2.
