Verizon IndyCar Series rookie Jordan King who shares the No.20 Fuzzy’s Vodka Chevrolet with team owner/driver Ed Carpenter for Ed Carpenter Racing said that it was an iconic moment when he crossed the famous yard of bricks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the first time in an IndyCar on Friday.

The Englishman joined his fellow drivers on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course configuration which includes the speedway’s main-straight and the final turn.

Speaking following the test, King who be back competing in the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach next month commented by saying:

When I drove down the straight and crossed over the yard of bricks at full speed, I did say to myself, ‘It’s the first time, it’s an iconic moment,’ and it put a smile on my face.
