Andretti Autosport head into this weekend’s Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park aiming to bounce back from an extremely poor race at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach last weekend.

Carlos Munoz was the best place Andretti car at the finish in 12th place having started the race from 10th and speaking ahead of the race at Barber he commented by saying:

After a hard weekend in Long Beach, the good thing is we have a race again this weekend so we can try to forget what happened in Long Beach. I think everyone loves (the Barber) track. We tested there and I was quite happy with the car so looking forward to it. Everyone is going to be really close so we have to everything perfect. Hopefully we have a good weekend.

Marco Andretti goes into the race weekend having finished the race at Long Beach in 19th place having started the race from 21st place and speaking ahead of the race this weekend, Andretti commented by saying:

Barber would be a good place to get my season going. It’s been a rough start and we need to turn things around this weekend. The cars felt good at the Barber test, so hoping to build on that. As a permanent road course, I love Barber – it’s fast, flowing and fun to drive.

Ryan Hunter Reay who finished the Toyota Grand Prix 18th place just ahead of Marco Andretti and speaking ahead of this weekend’s race he commented by saying:

Following a strong test in March, we are really looking forward to getting back to Barber (Motorsports Park). Certainly this is one of my favourite circuits on the Verizon IndyCar Series schedule, it’s just such a unique race track. Having won here twice, we’re back to get some momentum rolling into the month of May.

Alexander Rossi goes into the race weekend in Barber having finished the race in Long Beach in 20th place and speaking ahead of the event he said:

‘m so happy that we only have to wait a couple days to get back in the car after what was certainly a weekend to forget in Long Beach. This will be the first road course race for us and, based on the test that we had here last month, I am going in with high expectations. We really need a strong weekend and I know all the guys will be pushing hard to make that happen.
