Andretti Autosport goes into the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series season in just over a month having streamlined its operation from a five-car program in 2020 to just four cars.
Three of the cars, driven by Colton Herta, Alexander Rossi, and Ryan Hunter Reay while James Hinchcliffe will drive the No.29 Genesys Andretti Harding Steinbrenner Autosport Honda. Marco Andretti will compete in the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge which takes place on May 30.
Andretti Autosport endured a tough season in 2020 with Colton Herta ending the season as the highest placed Andretti driver in third place on 421 points.
James Hinchcliffe who returns to a full-time drive in the NTT IndyCar Series this season following a partial program in 2020, the Mayor of HinchTown confirmed to Paddock Eye last week that he is on a one plus one year deal with Andretti Harding Steinbrenner Autosport.
Andretti Autosport has all of the ingredients to succeed in 2021 following a successful pre-season testing period for the team. Roll on April 18 for the opening event of the season, the Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park.
