Michael Andretti has confirmed that he is working with the McLaren Technology Group and Zak Brown which will see the two parties team up once again for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil in May 2018.

McLaren returned to the Indianapolis 500 earlier this year when double Formula One world champion Fernando Alonso took part in the Indy 500 in a fifth Andretti Indy 500 entry.

Andretti will run Stefan Wilson in a fifth entry next season but it is possible that the team will once again partner with McLaren in 2018 despite the fact McLaren are moving from Honda to Renault power.

Andretti said that McLaren Executive Director Zak Brown is trying to get his house order but plans are in place for more collaboration between the two companies which Andretti hopes will include the Indy 500 next season.
