Andretti United Extreme E announced on Monday that they have entered into partnerships with Merchant Tailor who become the team’s official apparel partner and they have also signed an agreement with 1% For The Planet, a global organisation committed to protecting the planet through annual memberships and everyday actions.
Speaking about the news, Team owner of Andretti United Richard Dean commented saying:
“I’m pleased to see the Andretti United Extreme E team growing and really starting to take shape ahead of the first official test this week in Spain. The team has worked very hard over the last few months to pull this together and I’d like to welcome Merchant Tailor and 1% for the Planet to the team. They share the same values as us and have brilliant sustainability credentials that is in keeping with the ethos of the Extreme E series.”
“Our Andretti United Extreme E programme is really coming together and I’m thrilled to welcome Merchant Tailor on board and excited to join 1% for the Planet. Both organisations are a perfect fit for the team and the Extreme E series and together we can continue to make an impact on global sustainability.”
“We are delighted and privileged to be aligned with two great names in motorsport, Andretti Autosport and United Autosports. The partnership with Andretti United on the Extreme E platform, confronting and tackling environmental issues, perfectly aligns with the development of Merchant Tailor for the future. We look forward to the forthcoming 2021 season, bringing a full collection of sustainably made team wear and merchandise”
Currently, only 3% of total philanthropy goes to the environment and only 5% of that comes from businesses. The planet needs bigger support than this and our growing network of business members is doing its valuable part to increase giving and support on-the-ground outcomes. We’re excited to welcome Andretti United Extreme E to our global movement. We believe this work will help drive critical awareness to the pressing issues facing our planet
