McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown says that Arrow McLaren SP are ready to take the next step as a team in their second season of full-time NTT IndyCar Series competition with Pato O’Ward joined by Felix Rosenqvist for the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series season which gets underway on April 18 with the Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park.

McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown commented saying:

“After our first full year in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Arrow McLaren SP are ready to take the next step as a team to being consistent challengers on and off the track. This team is full of great people who want to work together and compete at the front, including our partners who continue to step up their support. We’re really excited to continue our partnership with Arrow Electronics and also see the increased activation that Vuse will bring this year. I’m looking forward to the start of the season and seeing our team on track.”

Pato O’Ward who drives the No.7 Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet commented saying:

I’m excited to see what everybody thinks of the new liveries. I think both of the cars represent a great mix of all the colors of Arrow McLaren SP. Felix’s car has more blue and mine has more black, which I think will be easier for the spotters to be able to tell our cars apart. I think the Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolets came out really cool. My car looks very similar to last year, with a few minor tweaks, but I think it looks fast! It looks ready to race!

Felix Rosenqvist who joins the team from Chip Ganassi Racing will drive the No.7 Vuse Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet and speaking following the launch of the new car he commented saying:

When I first saw the No. 7 Vuse Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet in real life I was so stoked to see how good it looked. If it is half as fast as it looks, I think we’re in for a great season! I really like the blue mixed with the classic McLaren color of papaya. We are a great team full of ambitious people and we’re all ready to take it up a notch this year! I’m ready to go.

Arrow McLaren SP team co-owner Sam Schmidt commented saying:

The whole Arrow McLaren SP team is excited to reveal these new liveries to the fans, our partners and the media. It was great to work with Arrow Electronics, Vuse and McLaren to create two cars that represent not only the team but the look of each partner as well. I’m very proud of the work that this team has put in during the offseason and I can’t wait to see the fruits of those labors take to the track at Barber. Let’s get these cars on track and get racing!

Arrow McLaren SP President Taylor Kiel commented saying:

Today is the culmination of months of hard work by the entire team this winter to get ready for this year’s NTT INDYCAR SERIES season. We want to thank all our team members, our race drivers, our partners, and especially our awesome fans for all their support this offseason. We have two strong racers in Pato and Felix, who will give us the chance to compete all season, along with the exciting addition of Juan Pablo Montoya at the Indianapolis 500. We are ready for the green flag.

President, Chairman and CEO of Arrow Electronics Mike Long commented saying:

As title sponsor and long-time partner, Arrow Electronics is thrilled to be part of Arrow McLaren SP. Now in our seventh year, we’re deeply committed to Sam and Ric and the rest of the AMSP team. Our shared passion for winning has never been stronger. 2021 will be a great INDYCAR season.
