Three of the busiest racing drivers in the world will rack up the air miles again in the coming days as Verizon IndyCar Series trio Scott Dixon, (Chip Ganassi Racing), Sebastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing), and Mikhail Aleshin (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports), return to their day job for the next race on the calendar, the Kohler’s Grand Prix at Road America next weekend following an extremely busy week for the trio.
The drivers flew directly from Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday night to France where they all took part in the LeMans 24 Hours endurance race.
Sebastien Bourdais along with Joey Hand and Dirk Muller took victory in the GTE-Pro class in the No.68 Chip Ganassi Racing Ford Performance Ford GT while LeMans 24 Hours rookie and reigning Verizon IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon secured a podium finish in the No.69 Chip Ganassi Racing Ford Performance Ford GT along with former IndyCar driver Ryan Briscoe.
Mikhail Aleshin in the No.37 BRO1 SMP Racing Nissan finished the race in seventh place overall in the LMP1 Class.
The trio’s attention now shifts gear back to the Verizon IndyCar Series where Scott Dixon goes to Road America hoping to close the 50 point gap that he has to points leader Simon Pagenaud while Sebastien Bourdais heads to Wisconsin in 14th place in the points standings on 210.
Aleshin is currently in 18th place on 155 points. The Kohlers Grand Prix at Road America takes place from June 24-26 and you can purchase tickets by visiting:
