The NTT IndyCar Series announced on Wednesday that they have reached a three year contract extension with Barber Motorsports Park for 2021, 22 and 23.

The Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama was originally due to take place in April was taken off the calendar due to COVID 19.

Speaking to the Birmingham Business Journal, Gene Hallman of Bruno Event Team and Zoom Motorsports, the organisers of the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama commented saying:

We are very appreciative of the tremendous support that we have received from our many partners in the both private and public sector. The Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama, presented by (America’s First Federal Credit Union), is one of the most prestigious events held on the IndyCar schedule
