Takuma Sato’s victory in the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park last weekend gives both him and the team a great platform to build on heading to Long Beach and into the month of May.
Sato driving the No.30 MiJack Panasonic Honda took pole position for the race and led 74 of 90 laps to take his first win from pole and the fourth of his NTT IndyCar Series career.
Graham Rahal in the No.15 One Cure Honda was extremely quick all weekend having scored second place in the grid.
Rahal was comfortably in second place until he suffered a throttle issue which forced him to retire from the race.
The result also showed that NTT IndyCar Series is one of the most competitive series in the world with three different winners in the first three races of the season.
The result is a great boast for Jordan King who joins the team for the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge which takes place on May 26.
The victory in the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park gives Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing plenty of momentum heading into this weekend’s final race before the month of May.
