Former Formula One driver Rubens Barrichello has revealed something interesting about his time with Brawn Grand Prix.

The Brazilian who was at the Goodwood Festival Of Speed this weekend spoke to Tom Clarkeson about his time with Brawn after being reunited with his Mercedes powered Brawn GP car that he drove alongside Jenson Button in 2009.

Barrichello revealed that he spent three months wondering if he would have a drive for 2009 after Honda pulled out of Formula One at the end of 2008.

The Brazilian said that he rang Ross Brawn on a weekly basis to see what was happening and at the time Brawn couldn’t tell him anything.

Barrichello said that his contract for 2009 was performance based initially for four races and then it was extended.

Barrichello finished third in the championship in 2009 on 77 points and went from Brawn to Williams.
