Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team’s Valtteri Bottas secured his second win of the season as he secured a lights to flag victory in the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring.
Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel extended his championship lead of Lewis Hamilton to 20 points.
Daniel Ricciardo secured his fifth consecutive podium finish for Red Bull Racing with a third place finish, a great result for the Milton Keynes based outfit at their home track.
Three time world champion Lewis Hamilton was fourth for Mercedes ending the race just ahead of Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen.
It was a great result for the Haas F1 Team as Romain Grosjean finished the race in sixth place just ahead of Force India’s psiring of Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon.
Williams Martini Racing’s Felipe Massa and Lance Stroll came through the field to round out the top ten.
For Stroll, it was the Canadian’s third points finish in row.
Renault Sport F1 Team’s Jolyon Palmer was left disappointed as he missed out on a points finish as he ended the race in 11th place just ahead of McLaren Honda’s Stoffel Vandoorne.
Nico Hulkenberg was 13th for the Renault Sport F1 Team ending the race just ahead of Sauber’s Pascal Wehrlein and Marcus Ericsson while Toro Rosso’s Daniil Kvyat rounded out the order in 16th place.
Carlos Sainz, Fernando Alonso, Kevin Magnussen and Max Verstappen retired from the race. Next up is the British Grand Prix at the Silverstone circuit next weekend.
