Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team’s Valtteri Bottas took victory in the Russian Grand Prix at the Sochi circuit on Sunday coming home ahead of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen and his Mercedes team mate Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis Hamiltin was left frustrated after being handed a 10s penalty for making two unauthorised practiced starts.

BWT Racing Point Formula One Team’s Sergio Perez had his best result of the season in fourth place just ahead of Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.

Esteban Ocon was seventh just ahead of Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly while Alex Albon recovered from his grid penalty to round out the top ten.

Antonio Giovinazzi was eleventh for Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN just ahead of Kevin Magnussen and Sebastian Vettel.

Kimi Raikkonen looked on to score points again this weekenf but a problem during his only pit stop saw the Iceman finish 14th just ahead of Lando Norris and Nicholas Latifi.

Romain Grosjean and George Russell came home home in 17th and 18th while there were just two retirements with Lance Stroll and Carlos Sainz retiring from the race.

Next up is the Nurburgring in two weeks time. Lewis Hamilton leads the championship by 44 points.
