Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team’s Valtteri Bottas who started today’s US Grand Prix at the Circuit Of The Americas in Austin Texas claimed his fourth win of the season leading home a team 1-2 with Lewis Hamilton comes home in second and in doing so he has become a six time world champion. Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen completed the podium in third place.
Charles Leclerc finished the race in fourth place just ahead of Alexander Albon in the second Red Bull. Daniel Ricciardo finished the race in sixth place for the Renault F1 Team. It was a fantastic day for McLaren Racing who saw both their drivers Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz finish where they started but in reserve order.
Nico Hulkenberg was ninth while SergIo Perez was promoted to tenth place following a collision with Daniil Kyvat who was demoted to eleventh.
Kimi Raikkonen came through the field from 17th on the grid to finish the race in 12th place just ahead of Lance Stroll and Antonio Giovinazzi while Romain Grosjean was 15th just ahead of Pierre Gasly who retired from the race but was classified In 16th place.
George Russell was 17th. Kevin Magnussen retired from the race as did Robert Kubica. Sebastian Vettel retired from the race with a suspension failure in his Ferrari.
